'So I have not been posting on here about our fishing trips lately so I'm going to go off my notes and report how we did and what we caught per month instead of each trip but don't worry i will have new story's to tell on the trips coming up. It is hard to describe how well we did this year we've had our ups and downs mostly ups but all in all it was great year. From tons of fish to finding new spots and also loosing a few from oyster fishermen who practically raped the reef and destroyed it. Fish migrations have changed a little this year and their timing was mostly early. So here we go with the reports....

Wow this month was amazing for fishing. From redfish to monster croaker its been amazing and looking for July fishing to only get better. We have had client from all over the world this month; a group from China, Ontario Canada, Alaska and several states. We are privileged to have the clients we receive and are thankful to provide our services for them. We have posted new pictures and video on here and also we have a youtube channel. This winter was a little slow now that spring is here and soon passing the fishing has been improving fast. Water is warming up, bait moving in to there seasonal feeding and breeding grounds with fish waiting and hungry. Bird haven't been working hard this spring but they are getting more active as the bait moves in and weather becomes better. We did really well on the bull red run this spring and now chasing the trout and slot reds. Were looking forward to a great season of fishing this year since last year the hurricane shut us down for most of last year. so come and reserve a trip with us and lets make your fishing trip one to remember and wanting more.
So this year we are having a new place and more events and trips to offer. Not only do we have our inshore fishing trips we will also have Offshore and scuba diving trips. We are opening a resort that has cabins, tent camping sites and a public fishing area. we will also have a restaurant opening serving from seafood to international cuisine to all our guest. We will have our summer camps again and with more events and fun. So come out and check us out maybe book a cabin for the weekend or pop up a tent for the night and enjoy the great outdoors with us. So Saturday I had a return client from last year and I knew they looked familiar but couldn't figure it out until he told me well this family is awesome and fun. The fishing was a little off but it was good we caught a nice set of fish and had more fun then last time I would say. The youngest one of course caught the most fish again and it was so cool when the boy would catch a fish he would say my luck is with me and when he would loose a small fish or his bait he scream where did my luck go ugh it changed on me. lol I love having kids on my boat they bring a great attitude on board and smiles. The other two boys caught some nice fish and one caught the biggest black drum. Their mom caught the first drum she was in the lead and then the dad caught one just under then I decided to throw a line and caught a nice 22" which put me in first lol then one of the boys caught a nice one at 23" to take the lead then the fishing slowed down mostly crocker so we moved to a couple other spots and surprisingly no red fish one this run which means time to look for them again. I cant wait to take them out again it always is fun and as always looking forward to the next trip.
Caught 40+ Keepers 28 lost 2 Lol Some think Im crazy some say I have a great knowledge of these waters. I say Im just good at my job. I had a group of 6 come on board who has been with me once before and had a blast. Before we go out I check my tides to make sure I give them the best trip yet. As we went out to get some fresher bait we stopped at one spot and tried it out. We caught small crocker thats it. I knew not yet. We went to get the bait and we tried one spot while waiting for the best spots to be just right. We caught a few catfish and taught the kids about the dangers of that particular species and then I said ok lets move to a good spot tides just about right. So we picked up anchor and moved as we pulled up I knew to wait. They started fishing and it was small crocker and small drum. I said wait it will get better any minute lol they thought i was nuts and then BOOM two reds one the lines 19 &19-1/2. Then bigger drum started hitting and then keepers and a few big reds; kids were laughing the adults were joking around and keeping count. In the end they left with plenty of fish to take home and stories to tell. I cant wait for them to come again.......
So a friend decides to try out my fishing trip with his friend and they had a blast. We caught a lot of fish some undersized but a few keepers to take home. His friend used lures most of the morning and then decided to try my technique and then started catching fish. lol so at the last hour of fishing it started to slow down due to the tide change and at the last moment a huge black drum took his bait and was ripping line. I knew it was a big one and the fight was on. I dropped anchor on a float and we started the chase after with 50 feet of line left on the reel. Another run and we would loose it. We chased the fish down to gain line on the reel for about 26 minutes and it was getting tired and then she rolled up saw us and took back off with one last burst of energy. We got her back up and netted her. Client 1 - Fish 0 lol A great way to end the day of a fun fishing trip and left with a need for more.
Check out our gallery for pics and a video of the fight... Well the fishing looked promising but the fish just didnt want to bite due to the upcoming front. We caught a lot of catfish and small black drum and a couple small reds. The kids had alot or fun and had fish to go home with.....
So 2016 fishing season is here and we have some great events coming up and specials. Spring Break is coming fast so book yalls family fishing trips soon....
We are going to be in the South Texas Boat Show again so make sure yall come see our booth and tell us some great fishing stories and book a trip and have some jerky!!!! This summer we are going to have the Summer Fishing 101 Trips again so make sure you have your kids booked for the fun adventure and educational trip around our bays. we hope to have face painting and a photographer this year to take amazing pics for yall. Our t-shirt never showed up last year lol so this year we are planning to get them in early. Kayakers we have great places to fish and paddle this year with new areas found, explored, and ready for you. Also bird watchers we have interesting birds coming in and nesting areas are improving for great watching and photos!!! So this is just a few things we have to offer this year and MUCH MUCH more so keep looking at our specials page and our blog and we will try to keep you posted..... May the weather be fair and the fishing be in your favor. So this season was one for the records. The fishing was horrible for most of the year due to all the rain and fresh water we had coming out of the rivers and into the bays. The fish were chased out back into the gulf along with the shrimp and shad. The lack of birds working and the storms constantly running a muck has made it challenging all year for us to be on fish. Spring was interesting with sharks on the Hannas Reef and black tips in the shallows taking wade fisherman's catch off the strings; But never the less we managed to catch low numbers and try our best to keep our clients happy. We had mixed reviews this year but that's why they call it fishing not catching lol. So now that the year is over and the new season is here with weather looking good and salt taste in our mouth we pray for great fishing and great clients to come and enjoy another day out on the water. Until then let the fishing be in our favor and in yours.....
