I took a return client out and it was the perfect day. The weather was perfect, the tide was coming in and the company was great. We went to our first fishing hole and caught alot of black drum most were just under the limit but gave a huge fight. As the sun was going down we went to a redfish spot and nothing not a bite then I realize the tide was dead still so we went to a spot just before sun down and it looked promising. The birds were working the bait and we tried to get thru the inlet but the water was way to low so we anchored in front of the mouth. While we were fishing we could see two schools of red fish on the inside of the water way chasing the bait so we tried reaching them with no success. Sooo one of the guys thru right in the mouth and in three seconds boom a hard hit and it was a red its tail came out of the water and then ran for the rock and SNAP the line broke. We couldnt believe it and laughed so hard it was late and getting dark so we called it a day and headed home. The guys were very pleased and excited to do it again soon.

anks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience of mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
